The Seagull Theatre, in Lowestoft, is producing a brand new children’s science fiction web series
and seeks a team of young filmmakers (13 - 24) to join our production team. We will be shooting the series in the winter of 2023/24. Young creatives will receive training in specific departments from experienced professionals before putting that training to good use on the job whilst shooting the series.
In Spring 2022 we employed four professional writers to develop Time Travelling (with myself) alongside our executive producer. As part of the inaugural Seagull Theatre Writersroom the team scripted five episodes.
A team of young community writers created a series of minisodes to accompany the main series.
ASPIRING FILMMAKERS REQUIRED
If you are a young filmmaker and would like to get involved with the making of
Time Travelling (with myself) please email Mark Finbow on mark@theseagull.co.uk

Time Travelling (with myself) is a professionally-led community project produced by The Seagull Theatre in association with The Keeper's Daughter.
The project is supported by National Lottery Community Fund, East Suffolk Council, Youth Investment Fund and Suffolk Community Foundation.
Time Travelling (With Myself) is an independent children’s sci-fi mini-series about an apathetic teen who must unlock a hidden passion and grasp the spirit of perseverance when a mercurial time traveller threatens to destroy his future.
In summer 2023 The Seagull Theatre employed four graduate writers to collaborate with executive producer Mark Finbow in order to turn his sci-fi concept into a full mini-series. A writersroom of aspiring writers created six world building micro-shorts to accompany the 5-part series. Time Travelling (With Myself) will move into production during the winter of 2023.
We have four opportunities for recently graduated directors, who are looking to gain professional experience, to shoot one of our series episodes. You will work alongside experienced heads of department and a team of young creative volunteer crew gaining industry insight.
This is a paid opportunity.
